EverythingUSB has put up a Imation CD-RW 4x4x6 Burn-R review
The Imation CD Burn-R is rated at 4x4x6, which is 4x write, 4x re-write and 6x read. The transfer rate of the CD Burn-R, at 600kb/s, is quite a bit slower than most new internal burners. In terms of real-world burning speed, it takes around 20 minutes to burn a full 700MB CD (CD-RW´s also take 20 minutes, burning at 4x). Compared to a 16x burner -- which takes around 5 minutes, the performance of CD Burn-R is nothing to write home about. This is mainly a limitation of USB 1.1, which simply cannot transfer very fast, and limits how fast manufacturers can make USB 1.1 devices such as the CD Burn-R.
