Incorrect Group Icon on Taskbar
This is a discussion about Incorrect Group Icon on Taskbar in the Windows Software category; When I check the Group Similar Taskbar Buttons for Taskbar Properties, I get a folder icon for multiple Windows Explorer applications. In the past, I believe that it was always the Internet Explorer e, but it seems to have changed.

Any suggestions on a straightforward way to correct this?
Thanks.

Isn't that the right icon?
Are you saying that you have multiple Windows Explorer windows open? I think the functionailty just uses the icon that is assocaited with the EXE- in this case Windows Explorer.
If you open up a lot of Internet Explorers you would see the blue "e" there instead. Likewise if you opened up Paint 3 times you would see the Paint icon.
...i think

OP
Nope...let me clarify. I agree with you that I would expect to see the "e" associated with the group. Instead, I see the "folder" icon (similar to what you would see with Windows Explorer, for example). When I only have one IE window minimized, the icon is fine. Don't know why this is happening, or how I can correct it.
