Install Quake3 on Win2k final

This is a discussion about Install Quake3 on Win2k final in the Windows Games category; Ok, I have done a search on this site with no answer. I can not install Quake3 in Windows 2000 final. The error: I:\Quake3>setup Program too big to fit in memory I:\Quake3> WTF? I have 128 Meg RAM Matrox G400 Max I have tried the Apcompat.

Ok, I have done a search on this site with no answer.

I can not install Quake3 in Windows 2000 final.

The error:
I:\Quake3>setup
Program too big to fit in memory

I:\Quake3>

WTF?
I have 128 Meg RAM
Matrox G400 Max

I have tried the Apcompat.exe with every combination, no go.

Any ideas?

Decent 3 runs fine, Half Life small bug in the menu screens.

Try with autorun enabled I have not had any problems whatsoever in install Q3 in Windows 2000. Check if you CD-ROM is being regesterd in Windows 2000 or the cd could be bad

Q3A runs installed fine on my machine.
