i bet this is a complete eaze for most of you, but i got an honest question. . . a friend messed up his computer really badly and needs to install widows xp over agian, he has the recovery and the widows xp insallation disk but i dont know how.

put in the cd reboot the computer and follow the steps
if the cd doesn't start the install upon reboot you will need to make sure the computer is set to boot off of the cd.
