Installation of Slipstreamed XP ProSP1

I burned a slipstreamed Cd of XPPro SP1 and it boots and installs on my Toshiba laptop. I tried to boot and install the same CD on a Compaq laptop and all that appears is Code 5: cannot boot from CD.

Also, I have seen on some older laptops, they have trouble installing an OS from a burned CD. Just a thought. How old is the Compaq?

Could be the type of CDROM no compatible with the CD. Used to see that alot in the early CDR days.
