I get the error with any program that is more than 400MBs
I'm thinking perhaps some flaky memory, since you have (2)Two sticks of ram installed, try removing one of the sticks and see if the problem goes away or not.
If it does, then the stick you removed is most likely the bad stick of ram. Try removing the second stick of ram and replace it with the stick you had previously removed and see if the problem comes back, if so you've verified that it is indeed that stick of memory.
The other possibility could be a bad HD, or one that's going bad. Of course the only real way of testing this is to use the HD manufacturers diagnostic tools which usually will reformat and kill any data on the HD itself, so I only recommend this if you've already backed up your important data

I have tested the ram.
i did a full diagnostic a few hours ago, all is running normal, but some parts have low power
could i have a bad power pack?
