Installing Win98 over...

Is it possible to install windows 98 on a seperate partition however keep windows 2000 boot menu. . . . if i install win98 wont that make windows 2000 disabled from booting?.

Yes, It wont affect Windows 2000 boot menu, it will add Windows 98 to the menu. If something weird happens, you will only boot into Windows 98. To go back in 2000, you just have to edit the boot.ini and change the Default Operating System to Windows 2000.
