Instructions for formatting NT required

I have a PC that has Windows NT installed as well as other non required progs , I would like to know how to format this so that it is Bare thus enabling me to istall a new operating system. Detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated as I am not an expert.

Get a windows 98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com. Boot off the 98 disk, run FDISK and delete all non-DOS partitions. If you cannot use FDISK try DELPART free program instead.
Then the disk will be clean ready for any OS.
