It is now version 2. 1 and allows to reassign or even completely disable special function keys from Microsoft keyboards.

Thanks to Tom Gruca for informing me that Microsoft has released a new IntelliType Pro keyboard software. It is now version 2.1 and allows to reassign or even completely disable special function keys from Microsoft keyboards.
