internet explorer crashes

This is a discussion about internet explorer crashes in the Everything New Technology category; Hello guys!!, I have win2000sp4 and i experience a strange problem lately. When i type an url without ) my window crashes and i get the program not responding message. When i type the whole url (with page is displayed normally.

Hello guys!!,

I have win2000sp4 and i experience a strange problem lately.When i type an url without "http://"(ex:www....com) my window crashes and i get the "program not responding" message.When i type the whole url (with http://)(ex:http://www.....com)the page is displayed normally...i cant understand which seems to be the problem?
