While its not possible to use the NT shell for windows 2000, you can make it look like the NT shell by using the following registry tweak.
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Name: ClassicShell
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
A value of 1 makes it look like the NT4 interface and a value of 0 will be the normal 2000 interface.
