Is it possible to force udma 66 or 100
This is a discussion about Is it possible to force udma 66 or 100 in the Windows Hardware category; Hello I have a Via motherboard. . . . and i do not like the busmastering drivers, cause they are very very slow. . . so is it possible to force udma mode 66 or 100 caus my harddisk is a udma 100 device, but it only works in pio mode ? Maybe if you install the Via 4-in-1 you will get UDMA enabled? Just a hint...
And leave your IDE Controller settings on Auto in BIOS, it should detect the right speed. What does it say when it posts?
