is my PDC resetting all my network clocks!?!??! DAMNIT!
This is a discussion about is my PDC resetting all my network clocks!?!??! DAMNIT! in the Windows Networking category; I think my PDC (Primary Domain Controller) computer is resetting all my clocks. It is an hour off. And I will go change it back (this is on workstations) and it flips back a min later or so. . . WTF!? So I got to my PDC server and the time is an hour off.

So I got to my PDC server and the time is an hour off... I think it controls the time for the entire network, but when I change it it changes back too!
How do I fix this!? I still want it to synchronize all the clocks on network but I WANT IT TO BE RIGHT DAMN IT!
LOL...
Thanks in advance.

Yes, the PDC will set the clocks of other computers on the domain. If it's getting the wrong time, make sure that it is set for the proper time zone....
OP
It is set for the proper time zone, and I keep resetting it to the propper time yet it keeps moving back! What is wrong with this thing?
go into the pdc's bois and check to see if the time/date is correctly set there
disable the windows clock service on the clients if they are running win2k/XP. I do that at work becuase our PDC clock is way the hell off.
I just sync one DC to the US Naval Observatory (for our timezone) and have the other DCs sync with that one. Every now and again I check my time, and I am within about .05 seconds (via the java-applet clock that one of their pages shows) of the master time.
OP
Never mind it appears to have fixed it self.
Thanks!
Thanks!
