Java Errors
Hey yall. I have a problem, I keep getting Java errors and java menues that dont pop up when I use IE 6 and opera 5. 12. I think that I remember something a while back about some plugins not working right in IE and that you had to get soem patch or something.

Im not sure if it was for Java but I do know that lots of java menus dont come up in my browsers. Any thoughts?

You need to download the Java Virtual Machine from MS for the IE6 because it isn't included anymore. Microsoft got some trouble with Sun in the past 'cause the MS Java doesn't meet the Java standards from Sun.
But you can still download their JavaVM from MS download pages or check the automatic installation of needed packages on under ie-options and it should done for you automatically.
Don't know how to solve this java problem with Opera. AFAIK there is no support for java with that browser version. Perhaps in the next version...
Good luck

You also might want to get the Sun plug-in (JRE 1.3.1) at http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/ . It can replace MS Java in some circumstances and can have much better performance.
MS Java is stuck at v1.1 forever due to the lawsuit -- MS didn't have to remove it but did anyway. It's still needed for certain MS products like OWA 5.5.
