Hi all

Sorry to be a nuisance. One small problem. I had to reinstall Windows XP Home edition due to a major crash. Everything is fine except for one small iritating matter. The @ and " have changed places.

I feel certain this can be corrected. Anyone offer advice.

Besides switching the keys?

Is this a multimedia keyboard? Have you tried a different keyboard?

Also check your accessibility options via control panel.

Do you have a English or German keyboard, check that you have the correct language setting for the keyboard, the German keyboard has the @ together with the Q instead of with the 2 and the " is with the 2.

I have had this problem many times. you have an English keyboard with the " and 2 as the same button.

When you reinstall windows it automaticly configures for an American keyboard.

To cange it back to English go to control panel\regional and language options.

Click languages tab and in Text services and input languages click details and add the English keyboard.

Once this is done you can remove the American one.
