Kind of beaten to death I know, but...

...I'm trying to get Final Fantasy VII to run on an IBM ThinkPad 530E, in Win2kPro, with the NeoMagic non-3D video card. I'm gonna try it with the ACT version 1.5. Any tips? ~MJE~

Hey everyone!

Finally got everything set up and thanks to those instructions the game runs great (as far as I can tell anyway). I haven't gotten to the Chocobo Races or any other minigames but I slapped the Chocobo Patch in there just in case.
One note however: Eidos provides a patch to change the controls for laptop users, and when I put it in I got stuck in the name selection screen (i.e. I was unable to hit Select and name the character). So I'll have to find a better input setup for laptop users. I'm gonna try setting it up with DirectPadPro and a PSX controller on the parallel port with a converter, that should work.
Thanks again to the people responsible for those fixes! You've made me able to play a very great game that I wouldn't have ever been able to try otherwise.
