What error MSG do you get (if any) when you try to play the games?

OP

LSL6 I can get into LSL 6 but it wont go Full Screen and its not even 16-color and the people are fuzzy and blurry, speech seems to be working fine though.

KQ6 I cant even launch the program it just flashes the black screen and comes back to WINXP.

get DOSBOX (a free shareware program) from www.dosbox.sourceforge.net Install the Windows version. Kings quest 6, Leisure suit larry and most dos based games run great under Windows XP.
