kings quest 7 and windows XP

This is a discussion about kings quest 7 and windows XP in the Windows Software category; I am having a problem with the above game. It used to work fine on my old computer but on this one (with XP)even though it says it is properly installed when I try to run it I keep getting a message that says DLL not initalized.
