Laptop to Tv with video and sound

I have a sony vaio laptop and have been using a regular RGB cable to hook up to my tv. . . how do i get both video and sound (thru the tv speakers)??.

Post the exact model of Vaio that you have and the make and model of your tv, so that folks will know what exactly what you have to work with.

The easiest way is not to use RGB, instead use HDMI if available on your VAIO and your TV. Then right click on the speaker icon on the task bar, select playback devices and select the appropriote device as default.
