Limiting application memory
This is a discussion about Limiting application memory in the Windows Games category; I need a fix for an issue I have running old games like Longbow2. I need to limit the amount of memory they access (below 366mb) to stop it from crashing. At the moment the only work around (besides downloading and stuffing around with Windows Compatibility Toolkit) is setting the maxmem option in the boot.

At the moment the only work around (besides downloading and stuffing around with Windows Compatibility Toolkit) is setting the maxmem option in the boot.ini which is a pain to do everytime I want to fly my helicopter.
Any other ways around it? At the moment the only way it works is to set the maxmem option, restart and play the game in Win95 compatibility mode. As far as I can work out I just need to limit the memory the games sees to less than 366mb.
Any ideas??
