if you have a 4 or up speaker system, and have no lw2 installed, then it's sure worth to do, but as for me (non-gamer) i haven't had any problems with win2k default drivers (befor getting 4 speakers) or afterwards with lw2 and currently lw3...

There is still a bug with the MP3 playback on my system but the features are worth the trouble.

Don't have any problems with it, the sound coming out of my system is actually crisper and clearer in comparision to LW3 on Win9x. I'm happy with it.
