Logitech gaming devices and Win2k (+SBLive)

This is a discussion about Logitech gaming devices and Win2k (+SBLive) in the Windows Hardware category; Okay I got a SoundBlaster Live! Value and two Logitech devices: Logitech Wingman Extreme and WingMan Force 3D. The WingMan Extreme works if I use the basic win2k drivers (Logitech Device(autodetect)).

Okay I got a SoundBlaster Live! Value and two Logitech devices: Logitech Wingman Extreme and WingMan Force 3D.
The WingMan Extreme works if I use the basic win2k drivers (Logitech Device(autodetect)). But it doesn't power on at windows startup. I have to open the game controllers panel in order for it t power on. (boring)
So well I got the most up-to-date wingman software (2.62) I installed it. If Win2k is on a FAT partition, it will not work at all... (the setup doesn't even fire up)
If I'm using an NTFS partition, works right away... after the installation copied the files... the software autodetects the joysticks... Only ONE is found...
Wingman Extreme(gameport) is never found...
WingMan Force3D(usb) is found...
I also noted that before the wingman software launch for the first time, I had to wait between 2 and 5 minutes... why?

Now the Force 3D works, but Wingman Extreme doesn't... and using the drivers in the game controller panel, will not power on the joystick at startup...
Has anyone found a workaround for this ?
it's anoying...
