I decided to try my Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital (the old one not the new 3D one) in windows XP the other day. I checked compatibility on the Logitech site and it said it would work, so i downloaded the latest Wingman software. Plugged in the joystick, installed the software, but when it got to the detection process the installation crashed. So i restarted and tried to add the joystick in Games controllers in control panel, which it says the Status is OK. I goto properties and the joystick functions for a few seconds (everything appears to work) and then i get an error about the joystick not being connected correctly. I know my game port works as i have a Microsoft Sidewinder and that works fine it it, and its not the joystick as ive tried on 2 other computers, which had 2 different sound cards, and it worked fine, both running XP. Is this some weird problem with my sound card?
