logon problems with 2k pro on a 2k domain
This is a discussion about logon problems with 2k pro on a 2k domain in the Windows Software category; Since there was a server crash the other day, I am no longer able to log a machine onto the net work. It is as if the client has lost domain trust, meaning I can not log onto it with my domain account.

But to make things worse, the client will not let me log in locally, saying " Local Policy does not allow you to log in interactively"
Is there anyway around this without re-installing over the top of the OS...?
If the registry was to be "deleted", would the system rebuild a new one from scratch ?
No. I never made an ERD
Any thoughts please?

I've encountered this several times and unfortunately password breaking tools do not help since the security configuration is the problem.
I would have to telnet into the machine using the local admin. Then run secedit and load the default security template. Reboot and then you should be able to log on.

Thanks for the reply. I will try that tomorrow, and hopefully, fingers crossed....
