Yes, it's real... Those scripts have been available since the time SP1 was released, and right from the MS site.

A question...
 
If someone was to change the XP Volume License key, would they have to use another VL key or could they go out and buy XP Pro OEM and use that key?
 
Or would they have to use another corporate key?? ;(

The disks are a little bit different, so I think the installs would be too. I have tried using our volume key with retail disks, and it didn't work (and vice versa). So I would think that the installations might have a file or two that are different as well and would prohibit that kind of key swap.

Dumbass here used the wrong disk to repair a retail copy with a Volume CD had to use a "known" key until i could reinstall.
