Lost Data - PLEASE help!

Over the last week or so I've been seeing an error I've not come across before. Below is the event viewer account: Source: FTDISK Event ID: 50 {Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to \Device\HarddiskVolume1.

Over the last week or so I've been seeing an error I've not come across before. Below is the event viewer account:

Source: FTDISK
Event ID: 50
{Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to \Device\HarddiskVolume1. The write operation failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.

Source: Application Popup
Event ID: 26
Application popup: Windows - Delayed Write Failed : Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\HarddiskVolume1\blah\blah.*. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

These errors happen on both my SCSI and IDE drives. I'm about to revert to a non beta BIOS and hope this may fix the prob, but any other input is much appreciated.

Cheers
