Lost XP

Was duel booting 98 & Xp. Never used 98 so decided to scratch it and just go with XP. In the meantime I flashed my bios with the latest one which was supposed to allow XP to be installed without pressing F7 during setup.

Was duel booting 98 & Xp. Never used 98 so decided to scratch it and just go with XP. In the meantime I flashed my bios with the latest one which was supposed to allow XP to be installed without pressing F7 during setup. Now I get a stop error (0x0000007f) everytime I try to install XP and even 2k. Can/should I reflash my bios with an earlier version.?
I miss my XP:(
