Macromedia Flashplayer and XP Pro SP1

This is a discussion about Macromedia Flashplayer and XP Pro SP1 in the Windows Software category; I have a Toshiba laptop (600 Mhz) running XP Pro with SP1 installed. As far as I know, I have all the latest security issues covered. I recently installed Norton Systemworks 2003. Now when I clean my C-Drive, including removing all but the last restore point, the flash.

I have a Toshiba laptop (600 Mhz) running XP Pro with SP1 installed. As far as I know, I have all the latest security issues covered. I recently installed Norton Systemworks 2003. Now when I clean my C-Drive, including removing all but the last restore point, the flash.ocx file is also deleted forcing me to reinstall flash each time.Is flash installing into the internet cache? Is it installing into the temp. folder? What's happening? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

As far as I know, Flash is installed off of C:\Program Files... Perhaps there's an exclusion list in SystemWorks 2003?

well, for one, the only norton apps i sugegst you use are anti-V and MAYBE speed disk

the rest u don't need. period and ther are better progs out there to do the jobs that norton can.

I have ahd norton delete system files before ti said i did not need, so this is why i don't use the rest of the stuff. As long as you not a person install constant apps adn such, fill'n your reg, u don't need the apps.
