making .ISO files with Nero
This is a discussion about making .ISO files with Nero in the Slack Space category; Can you do this? I can't find it in the options. I found the image writer driver and got it to create images OK but they seem to be in a Nero-specific format. If so, how do I make Nero make ISO files instead of it's preferred format?.

I don't think you can create ISO files with Nero directly.
Instead, create a Nero (NRG) image, then mount it with the Nero ImageDrive tool which comes with Nero.
Then use WinImage to create an ISO file from the virtual CD-ROM drive.

Probably because Nero came with his CD-R and he has to buy any other software while he already owns Nero

OP
Yep, Nero is what I got with my burner.
I read somewhere that all you need to do is rename the .nrg files are actually .iso files with a different extension. Is this true?
