So, having done this, I have a few more queries:
1) I run a RAID system which normally means needing to put in a floppy disk with the driver for my RAID card on it to get WinXP to recognise the card. Where can I copy this on the WinXP CD to not need to have the floppy ?
2) Is there a way of setting the options easily so that I can just put the CD in and it installs standalone ?
Cheers

further to this i found that on the winxp cd there is a file called setupmgr which you can use to do a full automatic install and is really easy to use.
even further to this i have found how to include mass storage drivers on your CD
http://www.spc.org.nc/it/TechHead/unattended_install_of_third_part.htm
PS unattend.txt generated from setupmgr to be put in I386\

Now the next step, of course, is to create a custom RIS image, and deploy that...
right, this would after all be a PC i am messing with so there are bound to be problems:
My newly burnt SP1 slipstreamed CD with RAID drivers is great. Boots, loads all the way up to where it "loads windows", i.e. the slightly higher res text bit where it asks what partition you want to put things on etc
BUT it doesn't seem to want to know about my USB keyboard.
This works on my original XP cd, but not on this new one.
HELP !
