Mapped Network Drive -- Not Retaining Login Info
Hi all, Hate to have to post a topic like this, but I'm pulling my hair out with this situation. I have a WinXP Pro machine at home that has a share setup that I share throughout the house. My user account has full access control, while the other user account I setup has read only access.
Hi all,

I have a WinXP Pro machine at home that has a share setup that I share throughout the house. My user account has full access control, while the other user account I setup has read only access.
I have set up this share on other pc's (WinXP Home) throughout the house as a mapped network drive. I choose the option about "Connect using a different user name" when I create the share. The problem is that whenver someone starts their computer it never 'remembers' the password for this account.
It's not the end of the world, but it's really annoying. I never had this problem when I was running a mixture of NT4/2000/Win98 at home.
