This question has been asked once before, but that was three years ago and it was never resolved. Now I'm having the same problem, so...
 
Error -- King's Quest VIII: Mask of Eternity closes when I click the "Load" option in the main menu. An error also occurs when I try the "Open With --> Mask.exe" option on a save-game file.
 
 
Don't take my word for it, but in case this might help, from what I gather by searching for the exception type, the error has something to do with a "memory sharing violation."
 
Any help would be incredibly appreciated; this game is old, but I love dearly and never got to finish it.
