Matrox Millenium II PCI Direct 3D permanently disabled

Hi! Has anyone experienced problems with Matrox Millenium II PCI on Windows XP? I cannot force Direct 3D to work. When I was using Windows 98 or Me, I could smoothly run games with Direct 3D, but now I can't.

Hi!

Has anyone experienced problems with Matrox Millenium II PCI on Windows XP?

I cannot force Direct 3D to work. When I was using Windows 98 or Me, I could smoothly run games with Direct 3D, but now I can't. I tryed the original (the newest, with Windows XP supplied drivers), the first (W98 and W-NT drivers from the original CD) and Windows 2000 5.33 drivers from the net, but it's not working. The Direct3D button remains disabled all the time. I even tryed to reinstall DirectX 8a, but it didn't help.

I really need to have Direct 3D because some games don't start without it, and others have bad graphics.

Thank you for your time and support

Ben
