Max Payne crashing

I have installed max payne and the 1. 01 patch and it still quits out loading a level with a xp error report, what can i do? i have a geforce 3, win xp rc2, athlon 1100. Tom.

Try using the Compatibility mode, instuctions in the other MAX PAYNE thread here

I tried all the different compatibility modes and everyone crashed out at the same time with the same consequences. Am i doing it wrong i just right clicked on the shortcut (tried the exe as well) and changed it there, should i be doing anything else.

Upgraded to xp 2532 with athlon and a geforce 3 and it now works fine.

Used to have the samme issue here. Downloaded the latest patch and worked flawlessly after that.
