M.A.X. under XP

Hi! Can anyone tell me how i can make M. A. X run under XP. I have already tryed to run it with VDMSound but it still says: Screen Init. Failed Press any key. . . Can someone please give me some advice what to do? Thanks.

uupdates all drivers the game , tried running in compatibility mode?
