Mechwarrior 3 campaine mode crashs

This is a discussion about Mechwarrior 3 campaine mode crashs in the Windows Games category; I have the v1. 2 patch, and I have tried running it under Win 98, Win 2000, and No compatibility mode, and it still crashs. . . Instant action mode works fine thought. . . Is there any solution? BTW, I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
