Mediaplayer 9

This is a discussion about Mediaplayer 9 in the Windows Software category; I just installed Media Player 9 for XP and I am experiencing some issues. When playing mpeg or avi files I cannot fast forward or seek thru a clip. Also when launching streaming video from a website media player crashes completely.

the skipping thing is a bug that is known

there si a tread about it on this board somewhere

as for the crashing i have not had that problem
but i am using .NET not XP
don't see why that would have anything to do with it

keep in mind this is a beta they will have these problems fixed by prime time i am sure.

i havent tried this Mediaplayer 9 as yet...but i am pretty sure ur get some errors, because it's still on the test run "Media PLayer 9 beta" .. Well thats a little tip for ya...never download a beta version > errors will occur
