Ok - Here's a weird one...

I have three Machines at home 2 with windows XP and one with Windows2000

The problem I have is with the windows2000 machine. Specs are

K6-II 380mhz
64mb pc100 ram (more on this in a momemnt)
2xNIC cards
1xWestern Digital Pipeline 2mb vga PCI card

I use this machine as a router for the other two machines.

The 2mb card performs ok for what I use it for... Unless I add more ram.

Yup - I nicked an extra 64mb out of my wifes machine and put it in my router taking it up to 128mb ram. As soon as I did this the gfx settigns fell to 16colours.

Normally the card will run at 32bit in 800x600 (which is all the monitor does) but as soon as I add the extra ram the properties state the gfx card only has 256k ram instead of 2mb.

Aside from buying a new gfx card - which I don't really want to do as it IS only a router - does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here?

Don't get me wrong it works OK with 64mb - but I was wondering if there would be less HDD use if it had 128mb.
