Just done a fresh install of XP pro having had a few problems with my soundcard and MS FF joystick. Having installed the OS I check it everything worked okay, soundcard working okay, MS FF joystick running okay, but I got the dreaded NVidia loop problem with nv4_disp.dll. I changed drivers and now the system is stable but when I go into the control panel the joystick runs for a sec or two but then says it aint connected. This was the same problem I had before yet a couple of week before that the joystick ran okay and has done since XP RC2 came out. I tried the josytick at a mates house and it worked okay. It seems MS will no longer support this joystick with there usually sidewinder software yet XP is meant to support the joystick abeit a unified driver. Any ideas what to do next. I am using a Creative Labs sound blaster live card. Cheers
