Ok guys see if you can figure this one out. I have a problem with my Viewsonic P95f+B while in windows the monitor will suddenly turn black then come back, sort of like it is switching refresh rates or resolutions. I have no idea while it does this and it is very annoying. I will list my components if it helps. By the way I had this problem before I upgraded to a geforce4 vid. card.

Soyo P4S- (sis agp driver is installed)
Abit OTES (det 41.09)
OCZ pc2700 512mg
WD 80gb hd
santa cruz

that should be all that matters,

please if you have any idea, I would most appreciate it, thanx ahead of time

Well, if the problem existed before your last video card upgrade then we may have to start pointing the finger of blame at the monitor.
One thing to try, if you are powering your monitor from the PSU in your computer, try powering it directly from a power socket instead.
Is there any way you can attach this monitor to another computer so as to confirm if it's the monitor or something inside your machine at fault?
