I was just browsing the web when suddenly the display went all screwed up and the comp froze. So i turned off the computer and tried to restart but when i did this the computer would start but the monitor would not turn on. So then i unplugged the monitor from my Geforce2 and plugged it into the onboard display adaptor but it still didnt work. After screwing around with the hardware for a while i found that if i removed the Geforce2 from the computer and plugged the monitor into the onboard video it worked. So the situation is that whenever i put the Geforce into the comp the monitor does not turn on when plugged into anything. I had the latest Nvidia drivers installed by the way.

My comp is pretty crap and old:
P3 450Mhz
Geforce 2 MX400 PCI
Windows XP

Can anyone help me coz this sucks.

Had the same thing happen to me with the same card. In my case the fan to cool down the processor on the card had worn out. I replaced the fan, but the card continued to be flakey so I put a 5200 PCI card in.
