I got a mouseman wheel and Windows 2000.
Mouse button hangs in games, ex: it can get stuck in Quake and just feeds rockets, until I click on the button again, it’s the same problem whit all buttons "not the wheel"
My settings in games “fps only” the button assignments in games are: Left Button (Button 1) - "fire" Right Button (Button 2) - "walk" Thumb Button (Button 3) - " zoom or use".
And the button assignments in Windows are: Left Button (Button 1) - "Click/Select" Right Button (Button 2) - "Context Menu/Alternate Select" Thumb Button (Button 3) - "Auto scroll". It’s seems like the problem occur when I press and hold a button fore some seconds it’s sucks pressed. I have tried to uninstall Mouseware and remove all keys in the Register “regedt32” but the problem remain.

I have the same problem buth with a MS usb optical mouse. I don't think the problem is mousedriver related. Might be a directx problem maybe.
Would be nice if someone found out how to fix it.

I seem to remember seeing some setting that holds the mouse button for you when dragging.... when you hold the button down for some period of time, you can let go and still be dragging the file, and it will release when you click again. It sounds like that is exactly what is happening to you guys. Unfortunately I couldn't find where I saw that before, but at least it's something for you to go on...
