Mouse driver help in NT4

Im running NT4 SP6 Workstation on a pc here at home. The other night I knocked over the tower unit and it locked up so I reset it. Now the mouse driver no longer loads correctly, I verified the mouse is still functional when I booted to a floppy application.

Try completely removing it from the device manager and then have it redected on startup. If its a PS2 mouse unplug it and reboot, have NT4 complain about no mouse, shutdown and replug it in. For a serial mouse do the same thing I guess. What kind of mouse is it?

OP
Microsoft Intellimouse Ball with scroll wheel, ps/2. Loaded up partition commander from floppy and the mouse worked fine on it, so all the hardware seems fine. The system is just an old eMachines 300mhz Celeron tower I use for file serving.

It's been awhile since I used NT4. Try reinstalling the intellimouse software and see if that does the trick.
