Good day! I'm having a bit of a problem with my mouse. Mouse mouse seem not to be detected by windows. I have a wheel mouse and its ps2 type. I opend the mouse to see if theres an internal damage but it seemed to be ok.

This may seem kind of a silly question, but I think it needs to be asked: did you unplug the old mouse from the computer with the machine still turned on, and then plug in the new mouse? If so, I'd try rebooting. If that doesn't work, then you might have shot your PS/2 port.

If it is just your new mouse that does not work, but other mice do work, then your new mouse is dead and you should just get a new one.
