MPS 1.4 vs 1.1 (BP6)

Like many of us,I am still looking for a solution to eliminate all the unstability (random hard lockups, sometimes in Q3)on my W2K w/ BP6 dual celery. One variable that I wasn't sure was the MPS setting in the BP6 BIOS.

Like many of us,I am still looking for a solution to eliminate all the unstability (random hard lockups, sometimes in Q3)on my W2K w/ BP6 dual celery. One variable that I wasn't sure was the MPS setting in the BP6 BIOS. Does anyone know for a fact what the difference is? Unlike some people, when I use the MPS 1.4 and QQ BIOS (haven't tried the final yet), USB doesn't work. But it SEEMED that 1.4 improved stability...

Anyone cares to shed some light on this mystery (at least to me)?

OP
Another interesting thing (it's news to me)..after I flashed to QQ final...MPS 1.4 works fine w/ USB bridge, but gives me 128 IRQs -- now I dont' have any shared IRQs...is that normal?

It is normal to get that many irgq's when you do enable it. I havent tried using both processors to see whether it is stable. Im going to try that. The new QQ bios seems great though. I wonder if i can fill my last pci slot now..
