MSPaint Alternatives

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows any (free) programs that function mostly the same way as mspaint. I need an alternative program since on Windows 2000 you can't save files as. jpg through mspaint.

www.irfanview.com is a great browser with some effects capabilities. Plus you can download about 15million plug-ins for it to play/view every media file ever invented in a drug induced haze.

Is also allows you to save any file as anything else with full options.

I'm not sure what update, or what software may need to be installed, but mspaint on every Windows 2000 box I have can do this.
