Multi-Boot Win2k and WinME. WinME support NTFS?
I recently switched to NTFS file system. I still have a few programs that don't work in Win2k. Should I get Windows Millenium and use multi-boot since Win98SE wont work with NTFS? Will Win ME work with NTFS? Or do I have to change everything back to FAT32? Thanks.

WinME won't work with NTFS either. There IS a 3rd party program available that lets WinME/Win9x access NTFS drives. The read-only (free) version is available from http://www.sysinternals.com. The read/write version (not free - $49) is available from http://www.winternals.com
How about WinXP? Anything other than NT?
XP is designed off of the NT core with NTFS capabilities, so yes, it can be installed on NTFS.
NTFS stands for New technology file system. It is the native and proprietary file system for NT based machines be they NT4.0, 2000, or XP.

In reality not really that much difference, but remember how some disk and partition utilities supported WinNT's NTFS4 but not Win2k's NTFS5.

Are Win98 apps compatible with it? Cause if it is built off of the NT kernel then wouldn't Win9x apps that dont work on NT not work with WInXP?
I think it would be eaiser just to go back to FAT32 and use Win98 SE, and Win2k Pro.

If you install Windows 2000 Support tools there are a program that allows your apps to think you are running win98,me... I't called
running a program in compability mode.. end you find it by right click on a program file, properties and then you got a new menu where you can change the programs behavior in win2k..

Windows XP has a lot of improvments in compatability one of the most noteable is the SxS feature of drivers. Im not going to get into a lot of details but basically if an old program likes its own version of a dll then XP will run that and keep the newer XP driver too. This goes a long way in stability of the OS.
N/M I got PM6 and got it back to FAT32.
