Multiple svchost.exe active
Hi! I'm running Windows 2000 with SP2. The reason I'm not using SP3 or SP4 is that my MIDI software won't work, since they included the XP MIDI routines. There's a upgrade for my software available, but that will cost me $50.
Hi!
I'm running Windows 2000 with SP2. The reason I'm not using SP3 or SP4 is that my MIDI software won't work, since they included the XP MIDI routines. There's a upgrade for my software available, but that will cost me $50. So I'm still on SP2.
Anyway, I noticed awhile ago that I have TWO svchost.exe running directly after startuo. While fooling around with it a couple of minutes ago I had THREE of them. A restart made it back to two. I don't want to have two active. It's not like that after a pure installation, is it? Any idea what the cause could be, and/or how to make it to only one svchost.exe active? I'm not too happy of the idea to make a reinstall of Windows.
Thanks,
Freddo
