If i right click on it from My Computer and select properties it says the same as the proper two cd drives but the file system is unknown.
The only virtual drive program I have is Alcohol and it not from there so it has me bamboozled.
Could someone please help out in a way to get rid of this please.
Any help appreciated

are you sure that this addition drive isn't created by your alcohol program, coz such progs have possibility to create several cd/dvd virtual drives.

OP
absolutely sure. I uninstalled all virtual drives and it didn't go. The thing is virtual drives show as hard drives this is showing as a cd drive
Thanks
Thanks
if u remove it does it re-install itself on reboot?
I'm pretty sure the virtual drives hang out even if you uninstall the program.
Apps like Alcohol, Daemon-Tools, Disc Juggler et.al. do indeed install a virtual device driver that can be used to mount disc images onto, this is how they work and why they show up like they do.
