Need Doom 3 EAX 4.0 patch for Audigy 2 ZS notebook?
This is a discussion about Need Doom 3 EAX 4.0 patch for Audigy 2 ZS notebook? in the Windows Games category; I have doom 3 with a 7. 1 surround sound speaker set up and a Audigy 2 zs notebook, with a Dell Inspirion xps (gen 1). It runs fine but in order to get surround sound, I have to dumb down to 5. 1. Then I downloaded the new patch thinking my prayers have been answered, but the EAX 4.
I have doom 3 with a 7.1 surround sound speaker set up and a Audigy 2 zs notebook, with a Dell Inspirion xps (gen 1). It runs fine but in order to get surround sound, I have to dumb down to 5.1. Then I downloaded the new patch thinking my prayers have been answered, but the EAX 4.0 doesn't work well with my card. So I downloaded the beta drivers for the Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS. The beta drivers don't recognize that I have the proper hardware. Called up customer support and realized that those drivers were for the internal soundcards only not for the notebook. Does anyone know if they are going to make drivers for the notebook or am I out of luck? Can someone modify those patches to work for the notebook? I really want EAX 4.0.
